Each year Aspire2 Health & Wellbeing looks for a meaningful way to give back. This year we want to show our appreciation to volunteers and care support workers. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the support you give to your fellow New Zealanders.

On that note, we are delighted to offer this scholarship opportunity to complete our Career Preparation for Health Science (Level 4) online course free of charge. Normally $2,558. Spaces are limited, we have scholarships available for the first 15 that apply and meet our criteria.

About This Programme

Apply now to complete your Career Preparation for Health Science programme in just 19 weeks.

This online learning programme is designed to prepare students to succeed at higher levels of study and provide a pathway to diploma and degree programmes. Students will develop knowledge of human biological sciences and will investigate career pathways within a natural health therapies or health science environment.

Online Study

Your learning will be based from home, using online materials. Assessments will be a combination of online quizzes and written assessments.

Outcome Statement

Through the completion of the programme graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate academic skills that will allow progression to higher academic study
  • Work independently and collaboratively to locate, select and analyse information

  • Explain the philosophy, benefits and use of natural therapies
  • Explore the concepts of holistic health, wellbeing and a healthy lifestyle
  • Develop an understanding of the principles and concepts associated with biological sciences
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the overall function of various body systems and the interrelationship between anatomy and physiology
  • Research, develop and critique a career path and identify career and study goals
  • Use various types of media to communicate research findings

Education Pathway

  • This  qualification  builds  on  qualifications  at  NZQF  levels  2  and/or  3,  including National  Certificate  in  Educational  Achievement  (Levels  2  and  3)  [Ref:  0973  and 0974].
  • Holders of this qualification will be able to progress to further study or training at NZQF Level 5 and above (degree, diploma or certificate) related to the context of their programme

Employment Pathway

Graduates of this certificate  may  have  enhanced  employment  opportunities  in  industries and professions associated with the context of their programme.

NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is not offered for this Programme.
